This website is designed to allow Tinkla Relay users to update the software on their devices. For more information about Tinkla Relay please visit our website.
The Web USB API facilitates communicating with USB devices from the browser. The API is currently available in Chrome based browsers (Android, Chrome OS, Linux, macOS and Windows) and is supported in the MakeCode Editor and the Python Editor. This enables you to flash your Tinkla Relay straight from the browser without the need to save the .hex file first, and use python and other scripts to flash the device.
In order to run this software, you will need:
An up-to-date version of Chrome (or other Chromium based browsers such as Microsoft Edge, Chromium, etc).
A microUSB to USB-A or USB-C (whatever is needed on your laptop)
A Tinkla Relay device
Connect your device to your computer. Keep connected throughout the process.
Presee the Connect button and select the realy device identified. (if no devices are identified please check your USB connection and also ensure that WebUSB is enabled in your browser. For more info please visit this page.)
If the installed version of the software is older than the available version, press the Enter Flash button to put your device in Flash mode. The device will disconnect and reconnect automatically after few seconds (if not you will have to use the Connect button again to connect to it before you can deploy the code).
Once reconnected, the Do Flash and Exit Flash buttons will be enabled. Use Do Flash to write the latest version of the code on your Tinkla Relay. Use Exit Flash to exit without changes.
NOTE: Enter DFU button should only be used at the recommendation of the Tinkla support staff.
